Malayalee Soccer Club of Philadelphia
Founded in 1988, by John Joseph (former English club player), Joy Kalaparambath (former Lucky Stars player in Kerala), and few others who wanted to promote soccer among the Malayalee community, when there were no Indian soccer clubs in the city of Philadelphia.
The mission of M.S.C.P is to serve its community by creating an environment in which a life-long appreciation for soccer exists and the health, well-being and social benefits of the game can thrive. M.S.C.P develop individuals through the game of soccer, connecting the young and old from diverse socio-economic backgrounds, imparting life lessons and fostering cross-generational relationships. M.S.C.P strives to build a foundation for soccer excellence at a young age, enabling its players to continue to build along the development pathway to the highest level of soccer competition.
The purpose of M.S.C.P is to provide, in a non-profit setting, a premier-level soccer experience through the application of M.S.C.P-specific training and player development programs. Further, we aim to perpetuate the unique history of the Club through the sponsorship of various non-soccer activities that complement our soccer heritage, and provide club members with opportunities to socialize outside of “The Beautiful Game”.
